Welcome to Musician's General Store!
Founded in October 1993, MGS was started from a 250 sq. ft. storefront in Cobble Hill Brooklyn. In 1996, we moved into a 1200 sq. ft. space and 3 years later expanding onto 2 adjoining retail spaces allowing us to offer a full line of musical instruments, rentals, sheet music, repairs and lessons. After losing our lease, we decided not to reopen; Till now!
With a new concept and focus on services and accessories for all musicians, MGS has reopened in a partnership with Big Wrench Piano Care. "This was just the right time and location to bring it back. The neighborhood needs us, and it feels so good to be back!" says Mingo Tull proprietor of MGS.
